Double breath, loving-kindness meditation, chair yoga, partner yoga, sun salutation, etc. are all useful not only for pregnant women, but also for those who do not exercise regularly and seniors, so I was grateful that I could immediately use them in my regular yoga class.

Hatha yoga is like this, this style of yoga is like this, and I was stubborn, but Kitty's words melted me away and allowed me to choose comfort instead of trying too hard.

It was also good that I received wonderful and easy-to-understand knowledge such as physiological knowledge and contraindications of pregnancy.

But more than that, I was deeply moved by the true beauty of Kitty-sensei's experience in teaching yoga and snuggling.

And the experiences and attitudes of the highly conscious people in sync were also very stimulating.

I reaffirmed the value of life. Being alive is a miracle.

I knew how to use yoga blocks and bolsters, and since many of my current classes are elderly with stiff hips and bad knees, I decided to use yoga blocks.

I was always trying to be close to people, but I really want to be close to them. That's what I learned.

The meditation and image training teacher's guidance was wonderful, and I was surprised at how easily I could enter into that deep worldview.

I have been a yoga instructor for about 6 years. I noticed that I was pressed for time in my daily lessons, so I decided to be aware of my mind even in the limited time, and to secure time for breathing exercises and meditation.

Aim for a therapeutic ego by studying at the Yoga Therapy Society. It is said, let's be a person who can be healed just by being by that person's side.

I felt that Miss Kitty was exactly that.

I would like to carefully nurture the seeds that my teacher sowed, and create a community that embraces people with kindness.

It made me think again about "cuddling up", not only in maternity and yoga.

Thank you very much for the three days. In these three days, I was able to look back on my starting point as an instructor, as a parent, as a human being, and many other things that made me think. It was a day where I could think about how I could make use of it for myself in the future, and how I could repay the kindness of those who had caused me trouble.

Continuing from maternity, I would like to learn restorative and hidden yoga in addition to postpartum yoga and kids yoga.

I learned about the changes in the mind and body during pregnancy, and learned safe and effective breathing techniques and poses. In addition, I learned that this method can be applied not only to pregnant women, but also to seniors and those who need a deeper relaxation, as a place to deepen interaction with people.

I learned that it is important to deepen the bond between the pregnant woman and the baby in her womb, to choose a comfortable place for herself, and to relax both physically and mentally through breathing.

In this course, I was healed in a deep place, and it was also time to face it. If I were a pregnant woman, I would love to take Kitty's warm and kind class every week. I also want to create a place where pregnant women and other participants can feel close to their hearts.

I also want to try loving-kindness meditation. I also want to deepen my pelvic floor muscle exercises and breathing.

By actually experiencing my belly growing, I got a little closer to the feelings of a pregnant woman.

Not only pregnant women, but also those who have various diseases, pains, and malfunctions.

It gave me an opportunity to think about how I can make the lessons more comfortable and how I can create lessons that make me want to participate again.

Kitty's knowledge, as well as her tolerance, were wonderful!

During the training course, I was studying, but it was very relaxing. And I felt like I understood the feeling that my own heart was calm. By spending time in that state of mind, I also felt the impact on my surroundings. It is important to increase your knowledge, but it is also very important to prepare your own mind.As an instructor, I learned that not only do I teach yoga knowledge, but also my feelings of closeness and compassion, and the state of my own energy can be conveyed to others.

ひとりひとりの⽣徒を⼤切に⾒守りながら、マタニティヨガを実践する⽣徒だけでなく、その先にある新しい命をも⾒守る⼼と⾝体のケアを指導する⽅法を学びましょう。

マタニティ・ヨガは妊婦さんの間でとても注⽬度が⾼く、多くのヨガスタジオ、産院、助産院、⼦育て⽀援センターなど、様々な場所でクラスが開かれています。クラスの中では⾝体を呼吸と共に動かしてゆったりと丁寧にポーズをとることで、出産に必要な筋⾁群に柔軟性とスタミナをつけ、⾻盤や背⾻を正しい位置に調整、維持していきます。

 

⼤切なことは、ヨガを通して妊婦さんがお腹の⾚ちゃんを感じ、寄り添い、「あるがまま」を受け⼊れ呼吸を通して、⼼⾝をつなげリラックスしていくことです。

 

現代社会の⼥性は多忙な⽣活を送っています。お腹の⾚ちゃんとのつながりを感じたり、同じ妊娠期の⼥性とのコミュニケーションをとったりする機会が少ない様に思います。妊婦さんの精神的⾝体的サポートはもとより、妊婦さん同⼠の情報交換の場としても、マタニティ・ヨガのクラスは存在価値が⾼いのです。

【講習⽅法】

今回の講習は講義と実際の練習、及びに指導に関するデモンストレーションを通して⾏ないます。指導のデモンストレーションでは、交互に先⽣と⽣徒役にわかれて、各ポーズ、練習の指導のシミュレーションを⾏ないます。また質問の時間やディスカッションの時間も設けます。

このコースは男⼥問わず、また出産のご経験を問わず、命を育む⼈とともに歩みたいと考えていらっしゃるヨガインストラクターの皆様にお薦めいたします。

【講師の略歴】

ヒロミ・キティ・トンプソンは、19年以上にわたり国内外でヨガの練習・指導を⾏なっており、ここ12年はボディワーク専⾨通訳者とし ても、著名な講師の指導者養成講座、ワークショップ通訳としても活躍中である。 現在もヨガのアーサナと瞑想を⽇々実践し、ヨガ哲学、ボディワーク関連の書籍を愛読し知識を深め、実践と経験を積むよう⼼がけている。 セルフアウェアネス(⾃⼰の気づき)とセルフケア(⾃⼰のメンテナンス)をクラスで⼤切にしている。
